Jessica Meyerzon is a contributor to Arbitror. She is a senior at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon and is majoring in international affairs and foreign languages with focuses on Russian and Spanish.
Jessica previously completed a Virtual Foreign Service Internship with the U.S. Department of State, where she wrote articles for Share America and researched the social media consumption habits of Russian citizens for Embassy Moscow. Last summer, she also served as a research assistant for a professor at the University of Washington. Together, they read through Russian-language newspapers in order to find political conspiracy theories regarding post-Soviet states. In 2016, Jessica also studied abroad in Spain and participated in an intensive language program at the University of Alicante.
Jessica specializes in U.S.-Russian relations and U.S. foreign policy. She is passionate about learning languages, including Russian, Spanish, and French. At Lewis & Clark College, she spends her time leading the Russian Club and playing the piano on a music scholarship from the college. After graduation, she hopes to teach English in Russia and pursue a career in diplomacy.
