Michelle is a contributor for Arbitror and an undergraduate student at Lewis & Clark College, in Portland, Oregon.
Michelle served as co-chair for the 14th annual Ray Warren Symposium on Race and Ethnic studies at Lewis & Clark College. She is majoring in international affairs with a minor in political economy.
She is currently interning with OHSU for the Sharing History through Active Reminiscence and Photo-imagery (SHARP) study that engages in community memory building with African American participants from Portland's historically black neighborhoods.
Michelle is passionate about analyzing social theory, intersectional identity politics, the racial and gendered performativity, and centering counter narratives. Some of her favorite thinkers include: Aimé Césaire, Judith Butler, and Pierre Bourdieu.
She is originally from the San Fernando Valley in Southern California, but considers Tai Koo Hong Kong her second home, as they frequently visit family.
